Luna and Sonny are a bonded pair of Peach Faced Lovebirds. Birthday Nov 2009. They had a successful clutch of 2 babies who have left the nest. They will need to be watched in the future so they don't produce more babies. Luna is the boss and is the first to come up and socialize. She is grey and blue. Once he sees all is safe, Sonny will socialize. They are not yet hand tame, but will jump on my shoulder and fly to me on occasion. With the babies gone, Luna has been seeking human interaction more and more. She is stepping up on my hand and will fly to my shoulder and hang out for a while. Sonny is more reserved, may need more time. They are in the same room as other small birds - green cheek conure and budgie, and socialize very well with them. The birds will take turn visiting each others cages and even trying food. They like hanging out on top of their cage and love shreddable toys. They also like eating and shredding greens such as kale and romaine. They are being fostered in Hamilton, NJ.
