Sweet Pea
This beautiful little soul was the sweetest most docile boy. He had a difficult life. Before he came into the rescue he had what the avian vet referred to as "the worst case of mites I have ever seen". He also had a growth on the side of his beak that irritated him as he would scratch at it. He had to have it removed. We think his past medical history wreaked havoc with his health. He had very very low energy. He could fly a short distance and walk and climb, but spent a lot of time sleeping and chilling. A family with another male English Budgie wanted to give him a chance at a happy life and adopted him. Sadly, he passed away two days later at the veterinary hospital. They fell in love with him, as did everyone else he met. Fly high now sweet boy. You are missed.

Falco
Falco came to For the Love of Birds in 2018.

Phillip aka Lip the Peach Faced Lovebird
Phillip aka Lip was adopted in February 2017 where he was spoiled, loved and treasured. Lip's favorite things to do were to shred paper and play with his "beads" toy. He loved looking out the window and snuggling up under his forever mom's chin and taking a nap. His forever family said Lip was the best thing that ever happened to them. In his memory his forever mom got a tattoo of one of his tail feathers. Lip is missed every day.

Sammy the Illinger Macaw
Sammy came into For the Love of Bird's foster care at only 18 months when her previous home realized they could not provide her with enough attention. Her foster mom quickly noticed abnormalities in her abdomen and rushed her to the vet. Sammy's health was quickly declining as she presented with liver disease. After months of medications, exams and loving care from her foster mom Sammy left us to fly free over the rainbow bridge. Sammy was a very sweet girl who will be missed terribly.
