Danny is an older male umbrella cockatoo. Est Birthday Feb 1997. He is super friendly and loves attention and also playing with his toys. Being a playful cockatoo, he goes through toys quickly. His foster mom makes him a lot of toys using wood slats, cardboard, paper cups etc. He also enjoys store bought shreddable toys.

Danny has switched to a pellet diet of Roudybush from a seed diet.  He is picky about which fresh foods he eats. He likes scrambles eggs and pasta. His foster mom gets him to eat some healthy grains and veggies by sprinkling seeds over it. He also loves nutriberries and nuts.

He is LOUD and we are ignoring his screaming so as not to reinforce it. Danny screams in the morning when he hears people getting up and moving about. He also screams in the evening starting around 8 PM when he is ready to go to sleep. A potential adopter should have a stand alone house; preferably with no nearby neighbors. 

Danny loves time out of his cage and will hang out on a tree or stand and play with (read - destroy) toys. He also likes to sit on my lap and cuddle. He likes head scratches, when in the mood. Danny says Hello when he wants to get your attention. 

He gets overstimulated when playing and requires an experienced cockatoo person. He is being fostered in Highstown, NJ.
