10/3/16 - Angel's wing has completely healed and she is doing great. Now that he flight feathers have come in she is enjoying flying around. She is getting pretty good at landings as well. Angel would love to have another bird friend to hang out with or you if you have a lot of time to spend with her. 8/2/16 - Angel is an absolutely adorable 1 1/2 year old all white cockatiel. She has dark eyes. We do not know her sex for certain, but she loves bling - diamond rings, earrings, metal framed glasses, etc, and she doesn't sing, and she is very outgoing so we are pretty sure she is a girl. She is being rehomed due to severe allergies in her previous family. Angel will readily step up and hang out on your hand or shoulder. Especially if you have shiny things for her to play with. Angel does have an injury on her left wing. It appears she pulled out all of her primary feathers and most of her secondary feathers, likely due to discomfort from the injury. She has been seen by a vet twice for this injury and is on anti- inflammatory medicine. The injury is healing, the swelling has gone down and we are hoping she doesn't pick at it. So far so good. She cannot fly at all at this point and care must be taken to ensure she doesn't injure herself trying to fly. The vet can't say for certain whether her feather follicles were damaged at all or if her wing feathers will grow back. Angel is a true angel and would light up the life of any family. She enjoys calling back to another cockatiel in her foster home, so would probably enjoy a feathered friend. She is being fostered in Hillborough, NJ.
