Hi everyone! My name is Timmy, I’m new here and I’m still a little shy. You see, my human is ill and no longer able to take care of me.  It would make her really happy to know that I am being well taken care of, like she would do for me.

I have had my vet check and I've passed my disease testing with flying colors! Hee hee hee, *flying* colors,  get it? I am also about 30 years old and presumed to be male. I love food - pellets and fresh fruits and veggies are just perfect! No seed mixes for me! I am getting more curious about new people and I am talking more.  I have a great vocabulary, and if you hear me saying “Hello,” please say hello back.  I really do want to get to know you!

However, I'm still not comfortable with people reaching into my cage for any reason. I will fly away from you and forget all of the basic commands I know. My foster mom does report that once I'm out of the cage, I'm much more comfortable with you reaching over to pet me, and I will "step-up" onto your hand, onto different perches, and even want to sit on your shoulder. We are working together (and with foster dad too!) to help improve my confidence so that coming out of the cage isn't such a stressful event.

In the meantime, I'm still open to meet you! I'm the totally awesome Timmy, and things can only get better from here!
