Cockatiel : : Female : : Adult : : Small
Mistletoe's Hatch Date is 2007 Mistletoe is a sweet and social bird who enjoys the company of other cockatiels in the room, though not necessary (nor preferred) to be a cage mate. Her daily exercise includes an occasional short flight around the room, and climbing to the top of the outside of her cage for preening and getting some millet for a treat. She is being introduced to fresh fruits and vegetables in foster, but she does have a good appetite for seed and doesn't seem to like any pellets that have been introduced. Mistletoe is a sweet girl who will step up easy but doesn't stay long unless she is nibbling on your earrings. We have learned in foster that Mistletoe is easily startled by loud noises; we recommend a low-key household where she has the company of other birds and humans alike, so that she can relax and build trust with her family. One of her most favorite activities with humans is bath time – she enjoys spray bottle showers as much as she enjoys her treats and exercise.
