Maggie is a beautiful  female Congo African Grey. She was purchased from a breeder and lived with one family her entire life. She is hand tame, but is cautious with new people. Once you gain her trust, she will step up and likes to sit on your shoulder. She is a very sweet girl and also gives kisses. Maggie has been responding very well to positive reinforcement training. She loves nuts and will readily step up from on top of or inside of her cage when she knows she will get a nut as as reward. She loves head scratches and will lower her head to get you to oblige her. 

Maggie is quite the talker. She says Hello, How Are You, Bye, Close the Door and lots of other stuff her foster mom can't yet make out. She also says Shower when she is taking a shower.

Maggie is flighted, but is not a strong flier. She is scared of new toys and objects and these must be introduced slowly to her. 

Maggie has been on a healthy diet her entire life. She eats Harrisons pellets and some fresh fruit and veggies. 

Maggie's previous owner took her to an avian vet for wellness visits every couple of years. Her last visit was February 2018. She tested negative for PBFD and Chlamydia. According to her previous owner, she layed only one egg her entire life. 

Maggie is being fostered in Hightstown, NJ.
