Ollie is a Male (DNA tested) Nanday Conure. 
He is very misunderstood little guy.

He came into us sharing a cage with another bird, but they were not bonded.  The other bird was a lot friendlier than him, so got all the attention.

He has been known to pluck when he gets nervous so should be adopted to a quieter forever home.

 Since coming to For the Love of Birds he has grown his confidence and will now come out of his cage right away, He steps up nicely to his female foster mom and will ride around on her shoulder for hours if she let him.

Ollie prefers females over males. He acts a bit hostile in his cage to people he doesn't know or like. He will bite if he feels threatened.

When he came in to his foster home he was a good flyer, but decided he doesn’t want to fly anymore and is content to hang on his cage and his bungy boing rope. 

He does better as the center of attention. He has learned to get along with other birds, as long as they are team players, and not bully's or aggressive.

He has been ok with smaller birds like Cockatiels.

He seems to like to be the king of his castle, but mostly all show ;)

Ollie is not phased by dogs, but he has never been around cats.
Ollie is not a good bird for children.
He will pick his ONE person and will only want to be handled by them, everyone esle
will have to enjoy him from afar .

 Ollie is looking for a woman primary care taker that can understand his behaviors and is willing to put the time in that well be necessary to get him to learn to trust people again.

He is a Nanday Conure, so can be loud at times, especially when he is sitting next to your ear.

Ollie is being fostered in Leonardo, NJ and will only be adopted to a forever home within driving distance. Ollie will require at least three visits to the foster home prior to adoption. We do not ship our birds. For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes across NJ and Philadelphia and only approved applicants are allowed to make visits to our adoptable birds.
