Pacey (formerly Misty) is a Beautiful Cockatiel, recently DNA tested and confirmed Male. He has a very healthy appetite and loves his millet treats. He sings BEAUTIFULLY once he warms up his little voice (which sounds like he's complaining, but he's tuning up...it's quite funny!), and he plays very well with his toys and loves to hang out on his cage, once he gets comfortable with his surroundings. He also likes having company in the same room with him and is very attentive when you talk to him. Once he gets used to you and knows he can trust you, it comforts him. Right now, he has his cousin cockatiel next to him (also a male) to keep him company and he doesn't mind it at all. Pacey (named b/c he loves to pace back and forth in his cage daily when he's looking out the window) was surrendered by a good samaritan who found him outside and could not locate his previous owner. He is very frightened of hands and is quick on his feet! His wings have been clipped for safety reasons, but he can fly short distances when he chooses to. He does not know how to perch (yet), which we are currently working on with him, so he does need lots of attention and love to help him learn this. He will make a great pet for a family who has lots of love and patience to offer him. He is also good around young children 9 and up and doesn't seem to mind the noise or chaos of the household.
