Baby is a 13 yr old male (DNA tested) Green Cheek Conure.
Your typical sassy little Conure.
Is a good flyer if wings are not trimmed .
I like to compare Conure's to teenagers, because they
try to be so independent.
They seem to think they know it all , and can be extremely moody ;)
Baby has lived in the same home since he was little.
The home had mainly women, and once Baby sexually matured he was no longer interested in them .
There was one young man living at the residence , and the bird would allow him to hold him sometimes.
Since being in our foster home , we are seeing the similar behavior, friendlier towards men, but has allowed a 10 year old girl to hold him.
We think that he unfortunately spent quite a bit in his cage for the last couple of years, but is loving that fact that he can come out now
Baby can bite , and hard at times to express himself, as most
Conures will do.
We believe that Baby is looking for a human male companion , but seems to be ok with women once out of the cage . Might prefer a male as a
primary care taker.
Baby can say a couple words, "What-cha doing " is the clearest .
He also enjoys spray baths.
Good eater, loves his pellets, and can be a bit of a chatter bug when looking for attention.
No interest in other birds or dogs.
Has not been around cats or small children.
