Hatch Date:  5/10/97. 

Maxie is a beautiful Severe Macaw. Her current owner brought Maxie home when he or she was weaned. Maxie is being rehomed because his/her owner is moving to Florida. 

Maxie loves his dad and also loved his younger stepdaughter and was very good with her. 

Maxie loves to play on or in the cage or on the play stand. Maxie is pretty tame and is not aggressive. Loves to play with paper especially adding machine paper that I mount in the cage. 

In her current home, Maxie is lucky to have a room to herself and her/his cage is never closed. Maxie rarely goes potty in the cage and chooses to go on the paper that is put around the cage floor. 

Maxie is not noisey for a Macaw.

Maxie never shows signs of being jealous when other parrots got more attention. Maxie's cage is not covered at night, but lights are turned off  around 9 pm and put back on after 8:30 am. The radio is left on for Maxie until bedtime. 

Maxie is living in her home in Monroe Township ,NJ.
