Petey is a 20-year old Cockatiel who recently lost his mate.
Therefore, due to the stress he began plucking.
Since coming into foster care, and being near another bonded pair of Cockatiels, he hasn't exhibited signs of stress ... just the opposite... he's started to sing and play with his toys.
He hasn't been out of his cage for a while, but when he was out, he was handled solely by his owner who was male.
He enjoys spray baths .
He's is on a healthy Zupreme pellet diet and likes millet sticks.

Petey doesn't seem to be phased by my dogs or other birds in the home.
Not sure if he has ever been around cats.
We feel Petey should be adopted out to a home with other Cockatiels, and would be wonderful if they were male like him.
He needs a quiet home, so probaby best not to place him in a home with small children.
He is being fostered in Manahawkin, NJ
