Taz is a two year old male cockatiel with a lot of personality! Taz is hand tame and happily steps up from inside his cage. Once he is let out he will glue himself to your shoulder! He loves chatting with anything he comes in contact with and is just a very happy, silly boy. Taz is a strong flyer and will fly to socialize with anyone who is home.

Taz enjoys head scratches and is very specific on how he likes to be pet. He can say hello, meow like a cat and sings many songs. Taz has lived with cats his entire life and is fine around the dogs in his foster home; he has never been around other birds yet but does enjoy hearing the other birds in his foster home. He is used to being out of his cage for most of the day and loves to be to be center of attention. Like a typical toddler Taz does get fussy when it is bedtime; he will fight tooth and nail to avoid being put in his cage at night.

As Taz is reaching “bird puberty” we will not allow him to be adopted to a home with a female cockatiel.

Taz has been on a diet of Roudybush and Volkmans seed blend and dried veggies. Since coming to For the Love of Birds he is being introduced to fresh fruits & veggies and pellets.

Taz is being fostered in Bloomfield, NJ and will only be adopted to a forever home within easy driving distance of his foster home; we do not ship our birds. For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout the state of NJ, we do not have a central location. Due to our adoptable birds being fostered in private homes we only allow approved adoption applications to meet our birds.
