Hatch Date: Unknown (believed to be 2017)

Anna and Elsa are both beautiful, sweet, all white Ring-Necked Doves. Their sex is unknown, but they are so pretty that their foster mom named them Anna and Elsa. Anna has a perceptible ring around the back of her neck. Elsa does not have a ring around her neck. At least one is female because they have laid eggs. Not known which one laid the egg. 

The doves belonged to someone who worked at a wildlife rehabilitation center. She moved and couldn't take them with her so they stayed at the wildlife center for about a year. Since she has not taken them back, the center surrendered the pair to us so we can find them a forever home where they can be loved and have time out of the cage. They are at least 2 years old. 

They are not hand tame, but their foster mom is working on teaching them to step up. 

The doves have so far been very quiet, not much cooing. Both can fly, but are out of practice and their chest muscles are likely weak. They are able to come out of their cage during the day in their foster home and have been enjoying flying together to different locations. Today they spent several hours looking at themselves in a mirror. 

The doves are bonded and will be adopted out together. They are sharing a cage. 

The doves are being fostered in Hightstown, NJ and will only be adopted to a forever home within easy driving distance to the foster home. We will not ship any bird. For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Philadelphia area, we have no central location. As our adoptable birds are being cared for in our volunteer's homes we only allow approved adoption applicants to make visits.
