Meet Gorgeous Gabrielle (aka Gabby), a beautiful Yellow-Nape Amazon of unknown age and suspected female. We know that her last owner had her for at least 23 years , but not sure how old she was when she took her in . Most mornings Gabby will be the first to greet you with a “Good Morning” or “Hello.”  During the day she likes to hang out on top of her house and recently started to climb down to explore nearby surroundings.  She isn’t well-flighted but can glide to the floor or other surfaces, at which time all she needs is a “Step-Up” onto a finger or forearm to be returned home.  At nighttime, she will usually put herself to bed, but if she starts getting grumpy…by using some colorful language…she’ll need persuasion to go in – a dried Papaya always works!

Gabby gravitates more to the male in the house but also interacts with a female (especially when he’s unavailable).  

Gabrielle’s diet consists of Harrison’s Adult Lifetime pellets, combined with CHOP (fresh broccoli, carrots, peppers, fruit) supplemented with Zupreem Smart Selects pellets.  As for treats, she enjoys dried mangoes, nuts, and banana chips.

Gabrielle  is currently being fostered in Manahawkin, NJ and will only be adopted to a forever home within easy driving distance of the foster home.

As our adoptable birds are being fostered in our volunteer's homes we only allow approved adoption applicants to make visits prior to adopting. We will not ship our birds.
