Paulie is a sweet approximately 12 year old male cockatiel. He was the only bird in his previous home, but he is now in a foster home with 4 other cockatiels and loves hanging out with them. He would do well in a home with other male cockatiels for company. 

Paulie was on a seed diet, but is now eating pellets like the other cockatiels he is with. He also likes apples, grapes, cooked carrots, potatoes and corn. 

He is a sensitive little guy and has in the past gotten stressed out while being groomed. He had his wings periodically clipped, but when his primaries grow out, he is a great flyer.

Paulie doesn't like to step up when inside or on top of his cage, but will readily do so when not around his cage. He is not a biter, but will hiss to let you know he is uncomfortable with the situation.

Paulie is being fostered in Hightstown,  and will only be adopted to a forever home within easy driving distance to his foster home; we do not ship our birds. For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout New Jersey and Philadelphia, we have no central location. As our adoptable birds are being cared for in our volunteers’ homes we only allow approved applicants to make visits.
