Hatch Date: 2020 - both budgies are believed to be less than 1 year old. 

Ollie (blue and white) is a male budgie who is said to be less than 1 year old and Cosmo (yellow and green) is a believed male budgie who appears to be less than 4 months old.  The two budgies are in the same cage and live harmoniously together, but are not bonded. 

Cosmo loves to come out of his cage, but likes to do so on his own terms. He comes out on his own and goes back in on his own. So far, he doesn't seem interested in human interaction. His foster mom is working on building trust. 

Ollie doesn't fly. It appears he moulted his primary feathers and we are waiting for them to come back in. Ollie has stepped up for his foster mom with a little coaxing. 

Both boys love to look at themselves in the mirror and admire their beauty. Can you blame them? They also like being sprayed as opposed to taking a bath. The boys sing in the morning and on and off throughout the day. They do quiet down in the evening. 

The boys will require patience and consistency to build trust with humans so that they want and seek more interaction.  They are young, so this is certainly feasible. 

They are being fostered in Vineland, NJ  and will only be adopted to a home within driving distance; we do not ship our adoptable birds. For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster home throughout NJ and Eastern PA, we have no central location. As our adoptable birds are living in volunteer homes, we only allow approved applicants to meet our birds.
