Icarus is a Double Yellow Headed Amazon, believed to be male.
Icarus tends to favor women over men.
Icarus likes to hang out both inside and on top of his cage. Icarus was hand raised as a chick.
If he is in a playful
mood,
he will swing in or on his cage and make cooing sounds and emits a sweet smell.
Icarus has a small vocabulary and will call out “mom” when the daughter or wife enter the room. Icarus has a healthy diet of ZuPreem fruit pellets and enjoys bananas, strawberries, peaches, apples as well as pasta and vegetables. Icarus has been around large and small birds for his entire life however has not interacted with them. Icarus is being fostered in Manalapan, NJ. H e will only be adopted to a home within driving distance; we do not ship our adoptable birds. For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster home throughout NJ and Eastern PA, we have no central location. As our adoptable birds are living in volunteer, or in their family's home, we only allow approved applicants to meet our birds.
