Mel is a white-faced cockatiel, about 16 years old.
He is an active, inquisitive bird, and loves hanging out, exploring, and being the center of attention.

He coexists well with other birds, but benefits from a lot of focused care.
He was hand fed as a baby and has always been quite tame, but has been understimulated and become a little cage-defensive and quick to startle.

He loves to be pet, and will sing back if you whistle to him. He has a lot to give for the right person who can invest in him.

 

He is used to seeing cats, but doesn't interact with them. He was around a dog for a while maybe five or 6 years ago and didn't care at the time.
He has never been around very young children, but did fine with kids in the 12-16 range.
