Cockatiel
Hatch Date: Unknown Sonny and Jeannie are a bonded pair- male/female cockatiels looking for their forever home. They were rescued and taken in by For the Love of Birds because they were neglected/hoarding in their previous home. Sonny and Jeannie are quite in love and act a lot like a married couple. Sonny absolutely wants to be hand trained.
He is very curious about people and even his foster mom's dogs.
He will jump on to her hand and run up her shoulder to hitch a ride for a little while before he takes off back to his cage.
Jeannie is not as curious, and she is not the biggest fan of being handled.
But once she is on her foster mom's hand, she calms down and accepts scratches.
When Jeannie is with her foster mom, Sonny will fly out of the cage and on to her shoulder because he is very protective of Jeannie.
When the cage door is open, the pair enjoy sitting on top of it.
They love to watch videos of other cocktails.
Sonny knows how to do a cat-call whistle and it sounds like someone was trying to teach him to say-pretty bird- but he doesn’t quite have it down yet.
This little couple is going to make someone very happy as they have a lot of personality and a very joyful to watch and to listen.
Sonny and Jeannie have been disease tested and will be adopted together with their cage, toys, perches and food to get their forever home started.
