Wilbur is a 20-year-old confirmed Male Senegal Parrot.
He is microchipped and disease tested negative.
Wilbur was purchased from a breeder as a baby and had one home, who seems to have taken great care of him.
Wilbur was surrendered due to a major life change where his owner was sadly unable to keep him.
Wilbur is very sweet, as long as he wants your attention.
When he doesn't, he makes it very clear by sitting on the perch in the back of his cage and ringing his "angry bells."
Otherwise, he loves to be nearby, on your hand, shoulder, gets lots of head scratches and will fall asleep in the palm of your hand.
Wilbur has an ever-changing vocabulary (watch what you say!) and several calls and noises.
He is always learning.
No that's not your house alarm, or someone pulled into your driveway, or at the door!
Go check, something is definitely up!
When you hit the mark with a favorite food or treat, he will let you know with a cute little click.
He likes to know where you are and will make a low whistle, expecting a return whistle.
When he's perched on your hand and you raise him up and down, he will say "weeeeeeeee" which is pretty stinking cute.
But let's talk dance parties!
Wilbur loves a good dance party!
Anything with a good beat drop, rap music in particular and he will jam out.
Wilbur is a great eater. He is currently eating pellets and loves his fresh veggies and fruits.
He'll eat some meats too.
His favorites seem to be bell pepper, cherries, corn, pear, broccoli, chicken, pecans.
Wilbur is being fostered in Leonardo, NJ and will only be adopted to someone that is willing to drive to do the required visits.
We will NOT ship our birds.
