Sadie is a beautiful, adult cockatiel, around 13 years old.
He is confirmed male. He isn't handtame yet, but he's becoming more comfortable with hands, and allows faces and hands close to him now. He likes to mimic clicks and whistles, and whistles will send him into pretty little songs of his own. He is very curious, is a great flyer, and demands time out his cage, probably because most of his life, he'd never been allowed any.
Sadie was never around other birds before moving into his foster home but had a strong and immediate attraction to the company of his foster friends, and now, is a little unsettled when alone in his cage. During his time out of cage, he flies immediately to the other birds, so he will only be adopted to a home looking for a companion bird. He is a gentle, easy-going friend to all his foster companions.
Sadie is being fostered in Howell, NJ and will only be adopted to a home within driving distance;
we do not ship our adoptable birds.
For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster home throughout NJ and Eastern PA, we have no central location.
As our adoptable birds are living in volunteer homes, we only allow approved applicants to meet our birds.
