Cockatiel : : Small
Hatch Date: Unknown Gary is a suspected male Cockatiel that was found sunbathing outside on someone’s driveway. Sadly, after weeks of searching, his owners never came forward for him. Gary is looking to start over in a new flock that he will call his forever flock. Gary is still nervous about stepping up but will hang out with his foster home flock if you are gentle. Gary loves to chirp, whistle, and make a variety of fun sounds. He is also beginning to enjoy his toys.
Gary does enjoy responding to the other birds in the household so he may do well with a household of birds.
Gary has been around children under 10 and large breed dogs and does very well.
He has been disease tested for PBFD and Chlamydia wit negative results and anxiously waiting for his forever flock.
Gary is being fostered in Lake Hopatcong, NJ and will only be adopted to someone that is willing to drive to do the required visits. We will NOT ship our birds. For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster home throughout NJ and Eastern PA, we have no central location. As our adoptable birds are living in volunteer homes, or in their family's home, we only allow approved applicants to meet our birds. If interested in meeting Gary, please review our adoption policies and complete an adoption application on our website ftlob.rescuegroups.org.
