Luna is only about 6 months old, and not DNA sexed to confirm gender. Her previous owner purchased her, and then realized he didn't have the time to devote to her.  She wasn't yet weened when he brought her home, so he hand fed her when she was still eight weeks old.  

Luna is very loving and affectionate and, because she is just a baby, she will need a home with someone who is prepared to spend many years with her.  Ideally, she needs a home where someone is home with her a lot, where she's not left in a cage alone for 8+ hours/day.   She doesn't show signs of interest in other birds yet, and likely doesn't understand she's a bird and not a person. 

She is just learning what toys are, and she entertains herself with crinkled paper in wiffle balls and other new discoveries.  She calls out when she'd like some attention, and steps right up and drops her head for head scratches.  

She is still settling into her foster home, but we'll keep you posted on her personality and progress.  

She/he  has been disease tested for PBFD and Chlamydia with negative results and is anxiously waiting for her/his forever flock.
