Hatch Date: Angel - 2020 and Kristy Ann - Unknown

Angel and Kristy Ann came into the rescue independently, but have become fast friends. Angel is white and approximately 2 years old. Kristy Ann is yellow and green and was found outside, so age is unknown. 

Kristy Ann somehow flew to a tug boat in the Hudson River off of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The boat's name was Kristy Ann. The tug boat captain took her home and then reached out to our rescue to find this little adventurer a good home. As you can imagine, she is a skilled flyer. 

During quarantine, the two girls were on opposite sides of a large room and chirped back and forth to each other. Both of the families who surrendered the girls said they barely made a sound previously.

After quarantine was over, their respective cages were opened and Kristy Ann flew to Angel. Angel's wings are clipped, so though she tries, she can't get much lift. They enjoy walking around on the floor and following each other. They just started sharing a cage and have been allopreening.

Both girls are semi-hand tame. They know how to step up and will hang out on you for a little while. With time and training they can likely become more interactive with people. 

Angel and Kristy Ann are being fostered in Manalapan, NJ and will require  an  in-person visit to adopt; we do not ship our adoptable birds.
