Salty is a 30+ year-old, Female (assumed), Blue Front Amazon
She came into us because her owner passed away.

She is a sweet, quiet (mostly) and shy senior.
She was on a mainly seed diet, and after doing a blood work up 
at her vet visit, we have determined that she needs a diet upgrade ;)

She is taking to fresh food very well, but a bit slow on eating pellets at this time.

She likes head scratches and can say Hello very well.
She has stepped up for both the foster mom and dad, and has not yet 
shown a real preference to either of them yet. 

She has been around dogs, cats, and other birds. 
Doesn't seem to show interest in them, but will need to be strictly
supervised around any type of animal, she does not move very fast, and 
will NOT be able to get away from them quickly enough. 

Salty is being fostered in Leonardo, NJ
and will only be adopted to a forever home within driving distance.
We will not ship our birds.
For the Love of Birds is a group of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA - we do not have a central location.
Salty is living in a volunteer's private home; we only allow approved applicants to make visits.
