Hatch Date: Unknown (the previous owner had Contessa since 2017)

Contessa is a beautiful Lutino cockatiel.
She is believed to be female but has not been DNA-sexed.

Contessa came to us after her family was forced to give her up due to noise complaints in their apartment. Contessa isn’t much louder than your typical cockatiel, but she does occasionally scream 
if she’s very bored or needs attention.

She is doing well acclimating to her new surroundings and seems energetic and curious. 

She doesn’t step up yet but will take millet or a Chex cracker (her favorite) from your hand if you offer it to her.

There are other birds in her foster home whom she enjoys chirping back and forth with.  
Contessa is comfortable with the family dog walking past her cage, so she would probably do fine in a home with a dog or other pets.

Contessa is being fostered in Bloomfield, NJ, and will only be adopted to a forever home within driving distance. 
We will not ship our birds.

As Contessa is living in a volunteer's home, we only allow approved applicants to make visits.
