Who's a good 

girl? 

That would be Charlie.

She has made pretty fantastic progress in his short time in foster care. Charlie has learned  "step up"  as a way to be handled and has become trusting enough to perch on shoulders for short periods of time.

 

She is still a bit nervous and prefers quiet conversations.  She listens intently,  loves conversation, and head scratches, all of which will come with her adjustment to her new people.  She also enjoys being kissed! 

 

She absolutely loves being sung to-- John Denver's Country Roads has become a big hit with her
; >)

 

Charlie will let you know if she prefers her space with gentle objections to being pet or taken out for some bonding time- never biting,  just using her beak to peck or vocally to say, "no thank you, not now".

 

She truly is a beautiful, charismatic girl, so deserving of the love she longs to give.
 

Charlie is being fostered in Howell, NJ and will only be adopted to a forever home within driving distance.

We will NOT ship our birds.
 

For the Love of Birds is a group of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA - we do not have a central location.

This bird is living in a volunteer's private home; we only allow approved applicants to make visits.
