Banksy is a 15 yo suspected male White-capped Pionus Parrot who loves to be around people.
He has a cool, mature confidence and communicates well
about what he wants and what he likes.
In his first home, he was bonded to his female owner.
Since joining his foster family, he seems capable of
bonding with multiple people.

Especially after they put in the time to establish trust,

Of course, when introduced to a new home and
new people, we refer to this as the Honeymoon period ;)

Cashews, almonds, dried bananas, apple slices, and
Nutri-Berries seem to be his favorite nibbles.

While he is social, he is not interested in performing

He loves to be around people and really doesn't want to be left out of any conversation.
He enjoys having a perch in every room so that he can be with you no matter where you are and what you're doing. If he can hear you, he wants to be with you.
The toys he likes are rope perches and wood toys, both he enjoys picking at when he's on his own.
He doesn't play a lot but he is a great listener. Occasionally, he surprises us with clicks and whistles.

When he can hear you but not see you, he may screech or cry out.
When he’s calm and happy, he’s quiet or vocalizes sweet sounds, almost purrs.
He would do well in a home with people with lots of

He needs quite a bit of out-of-cage time, allowing
him to fly around a bit every day for exercise.

His bedtime is around 7 pm and he’s not a morning bird.
He needs some time to ease into his day.
He bows his head when he wants scritches on the back of his head, and
he will nip your finger when he’s done with you.
Banksy is being fostered in Maplewood, NJ.
You must live within driving distance to make the
necessary visits and adopt our birds.
