Percy is an adult, confirmed male cockatiel.  He is about 18 years old and was with one owner, who loved him his whole life, but unfortunately, she became very ill and could no longer care for him. She still misses Percy fiercly and would greatly appreciate someone who would be willing to send her an update and photo every now and then.  

Percy comes out of his cage when you call him, if you leave the door open! He loves to sit on top of his cage and watch other birds out the window.  He also enjoys visiting with the other birds in his foster home, so he could likely do well as a companion bird to another bird. 

Percy is a little clumsy, but still a pretty good flyer, and enjoys flying around the room and to your shoulder to sit and be near you. You would NOT want to leave him unsupervised with a dog or cat in the home.  He makes kiss sounds, mimicks clicks and whistles and says his name in the cutest voice.  He flew after his foster mom and was waiting outside the shower for her to get out, so she put him in, and he seemed to like the warm water.  She'll try to get him used to regular showers.  

Percy is being fostered in Howell, NJ, and will require an in-person visit before adoption; we do not ship our adoptable birds.
