Rio is a 15-year-old male cockatiel. He lived with one family his entire life and had another cockatiel as a buddy until recently when his cage mate passed away.
Rio is very vocal and likes singing back and forth with other cockatiels in his foster home. He is a shy guy, but will step up and hang out with you once he is outside of his cage. He is not aggressive at all.
He didn't have shreddable toys in his cage previously and hasn't quite figured out what to do with them yet.
Rio is being fostered in Manalapan, NJ and will require an in-person visit before adoption; we do not ship our adoptable birds.
For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA.
As our adoptable birds are living in volunteer homes, we only allow approved adopters to make the required visits.
