Crouton is a 4yo male Pacific Pied Parrotlet. In his short life he has been in two homes already and FTLOB is confident his next home will be his forever home.

His first owner unfortunately did not realize the commitment level a bird entails and rehomed him within two months to a wonderful new family. His second family took tremendous care of Crouton since, however had multiple recent life changes and only wanted what was best for Crouton.

Crouton is a spunky character who is very intelligent – and has typical parrotlet opinions (aka sass). He is hand tame and loves to sit on a shoulder or top of a cell phone. He will comment on your selection of music and it is rumored he loves head scratches. Crouton has a certain chirp he will make when he is displeased with something including vacuuming or sudden movement.

Crouton has a wonderful diet of Harrison’s pellets and loves fresh chop that includes swiss chard, kale, peppers, quinoa and snap peas. He is not afraid to try anything! He loves foraging for nutriberries and gets super excited when he sees their container in your hand.

Crouton craves attention so would love to find his final forever home where he can be #1. An active household would be wonderful however so would a single, work from home professional. Small children are not recommended as parrotlets are very small, although they typically think the opposite.

Bird experience is preferred however not required for this little guy.

Crouton is being fostered in Parsippany, NJ, and will only be adopted to a forever home within easy driving distance.
