Hatch Date: 2020
Kiwi is a beautiful green and yellow budgie who is approximately 4 years old. She has been disease tested and DNA tested female, and has recently laid eggs, which her foster home has under control with dummy eggs. She needs to go to a home with other female birds so that she does not lay anymore eggs. We are very confident this behavior will stop with no males around.
She has only had one previous owner, is very interested in human interaction and loves it when you talk to her, however, she is afraid of hands. With some time and effort, this could change as her foster
home is currently working with her
. She is an experienced flyer and loves her out time. She is learning to hang out with her parakeet buddies and enjoys the interaction with them.
She sings back and forth with the other birds in her foster home and loves the interaction, so she will do well with other birds in the home, either inside or outside of the cage. She loves her millet treats.
Kiwi is being fostered in Hillsborough, NJ.
You must be within driving distance to the foster home, we do not ship our adoptable birds.
For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA.
As our adoptable birds are living in volunteer homes, we only allow approved adopters to make the required visits.
