This pretty girl came into our rescue with the name ‘Chicken Nugget’ but her foster parents call her ‘Nugget’ or ‘Nuggy.’  She is the most fiercely independent, yet clingy little girl they have ever fostered.  

She does not like her foster parents to leave the room when they are all hanging out, but she also will not allow them to touch her without getting a gentle nibble. Touching has to be on her terms only.  

When foster mom works from home (3 days a week) she sits on her feet under her desk or on her shoulder or behind her on the sofa—she just wants to be near her.  She will sit on her shoulder while she makes breakfast, lunch or dinner or when does laundry or any chores at all.  She loves to be close and will yell at her if she is left. However, if she has been out interacting for a while, she will go back in her cage without a fuss. She just needs some together time each day.

She sings a lot, and it sounds like she is trying to talk.

Chicken Nugget is being fostered in Morristown, NJ, and will only be adopted to a forever home within driving distance. We will NOT ship our birds.
