About Jellybean and Blue | |

Hatch Date: approx 2017
Jellybean (budgie) and Blue (Bourke parakeet) are about 7 years old. Their original owner had to give them up due to a change in her living situation. They lived with her son for about a year. Her son has cats and was unable to keep them.
They currently live in their new foster home with a cat and another large foster bird. They don't show much interest in either. They are content playing in their shared large cage together during the day. They go to sleep around 8 pm and don't make any noise until morning.
They are on a seed diet but their foster is trying to incorporate some pellets in as well. They enjoy millet as a snack.
They are fully flighted and currently not hand-tame.
Blue and Jellybean have been disease-tested for psittacosis and PBFD. They are being fostered in Bensalem, PA, and will require an in-person visit before adoption. We will not ship our birds.
For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA. As our adoptable birds are living in volunteer homes, we only allow approved adopters to make the required visits.
