Hatch Date: Approx 2021
Gundham is a male Cockatiel who is approximately 3 years old. He is extremely skittish with humans, due to unknown trauma in his past, but he adores having other birds in his presence. Currently, he is alone in his cage, but is beside other birds and doing wonderfully. He loves to break out in song during the day and sings absolutely BEAUTIFULLY!
Gundham's ideal forever home is with another male Cockatiel who is looking for a friend. He LOVES the companionship of other birds. We are currently working with him on being more comfortable with human contact and have definitely made progress, but this will take a lot of time, effort and patience to continue with in his new home.
He is currently eating Zupreem Fruit pellets mixed with a sprinkling of Grape Nuts cereal and devours an occasional millet treat. We are using millet for training purposes to get him more comfortable with human interaction, which seems to be working quite well. We continue to try other healthy fruits and veggie snacks as well, but he's not too interested.
Gundham is being fostered in Hillsbo rough, NJ and will only be adopted to a forever home within driving distance. We will NOT ship our birds.
For the Love of Birds is a group of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA, we do not have a central location. Gundham is living in a volunteer's private home; we only allow approved applicants to make visits.
