Cockatiel : : Male : : Young : : Small
Hatch Date: 2022
Cheech is a 2.5-year-old, confirmed DNA male Cockatiel.
He was surrendered due to the family not having enough time for him.
Cheech is a sweet little guy who is shy at first but will warm up to you once you give him some time.
He is generally quiet but will serenade you with "If you're happy and you know it" and does wolf whistles.
If you're lucky enough, you will hear a "Peek a Boo" from a different room.
He tolerates children (if they respect his space), and dogs (gives them a warning bite), and is annoyed by the felines.
He is learning about veggies and fruits and is interested in them.
Cheech would do well with someone able to give him some personal time, as he loves attention.
He has been disease tested.
Cheech is being fostered in Hillsborough, NJ
He will only be adopted to a forever home within driving distance.
We will NOT ship our birds.
For the Love of Birds is a group of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA -
We do not have a central location.
Cheech is living in a volunteer's private home; we only allow approved applicants to make visits.
