Conure : : Male
Hatch Date: 2014 Peanut and Buttercup are a bonded pair of conures who were reluctantly relinquished to the rescue after 10 years due to their owners moving into retirement. They are believed to both be males. They’ve settled in their foster home very nicely! They will be adopted out together - everywhere Peanut goes, Buttercup is sure to follow! Peanut is a handsome green-cheeked conure who loves snap peas, head scritches and snuggling up under your chin. Buttercup is a pretty pineapple conure who loves cherries, preening her human companions and nibbling on the neck of your shirt! They are both hand tame and always willing to step up, ride on your shoulder, or hang out on top of the cage all day. A super social set, they love attention and enjoy being around the family. They are currently residing with 2 kids, 3 dogs and a cat! They both enjoy spray baths, but their favorite is a slow drip for splashing in the bathtub. They occasionally have a loud chatter when they want attention, but settle down after a quick hello. At night they cuddle up on their sand perch until morning! They’ve already stolen the hearts of their foster family. They have been disease-tested for Psittacosis and PBFD. Peanut and Buttercup are currently being fostered in Worcester, Pa. Two visits are required before they can be adopted.
We do not ship our birds. For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA. As our adoptable birds live in volunteer homes, we only allow approved adopters to make the required visits.
