Bungie is a presumed male sun conure (sex testing pending) who cuddles like a puppy!
Before coming to the rescue, he was well-loved by a family that interacted with him a lot.
He seems to have a slight preference for men, but it doesn't play a part in his interactions, because he is exceptionally affectionate with everyone! He loves to nuzzle against the cheeks of his foster family.
He also hides to take naps in the long hair of those who have it, and will often lean back against the chest of whoever's hand he perched on,
essentially laying there on his back to get head scritches.
He makes some really cute noises, and while he can be loud, he makes nicer noises than the typical sun conure screaming.
Some of his interactive noises seem like they have the inflection of words, but no clear talking has been observed.
In the foster home, he seems to mimic the noises of the foster family's parakeets from the next room.
Bungie loves to bathe under running water and will get completely soaked in the process.
He tolerates a hair dryer (used carefully to not burn him) to help him dry off.
He is also semi-potty trained.
He can be asked to "go potty" before he leaves his cage, or be held over a trash can, and he will do his business, which saves a good bit of mess!
Bungie is in the process of transitioning from a diet that was primarily dried fruit and seeds to pellets and chop.
He loves fresh apples and bananas but is otherwise picky about fresh fruits and vegetables.
He will usually at least eat the grains out of his chop, but it depends on his mood.
He has been disease tested and is looking for his forever home.
Bungie is being fostered in Cherry Hill, NJ, and will only be adopted to a forever home within driving distance.

We do not have a central location.
Bungie is living in a volunteer's private home, so we only allow approved applicants to make visits.
