In just a week with their foster family, they have quickly switched from seed to a healthy diet that is half pellet and half a fresh veggie/grain mix. They get millet as a treat, and take it from the foster family's hands.
Their foster mom expects that they will be hand-tame in no time at this rate! They also have both shown they are strong flyers despite not having out of cage time to explore in their last home.
Lola seems sweeter and more inclined to bond with humans, but Sunshine is the clown of the two, entertaining the family to no end with her silly hopping around and funny noises.
Some back story on them; they were purchased at a pet store two years ago by their former guardian. But Lola has a leg band with the number '17 marked on it. Which coud be the year she was hatched or may have some other meaning. Lola has laid many eggs in the past, but we hope this will slow down significantly, or stop altogether.
They have been disease tested for psittacosis and PBFD>
