Beautiful pair of bonded White Bellied Caiques
Pericles is approximately 3 years old and male.
Belfa is approximately 2 years old and is female.
Pericles is the more adventurous one of the two.
They will usually both come out of their cages when you back away and give them some room to do so.
Pericles will be the first to venture out and about.
However, once out, Belfa will be the last to return to the inside of the cage.
They are both explorers and will need strict supervision when out of the cage.
They will either climb down or flutter to the floor (both are presently clipped) to walk around and check out their environment.
There should be NO other animals in the house that could impede this behavior.

Neither seems to like showers but will bathe in their water dishes when they are first changed.
These two are very close, and will only be adopted out together.
They enjoy spending their days together and will return to
their hut to sleep at night.

When out of the cage Pericles will follow Belfa around.
They will chirp to each other throughout the day, but it is never very loud.
They are good eaters and love to get their morning favorite treat, yogurt-covered pretzels.
Pericles and Belfa are working with our Help With Rehoming program and are living in
Aberdeen NJ.
They will require in-person visits before adoption.
We do not ship our birds.
For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA.
As our adoptable birds are living in private homes, we only allow approved adopters to make the required visits.
