Jett is a very handsome 10-month-old Black-capped Conure.
He has been disease tested and DNA tested Male.
We are still working with him on trusting and becoming hand-tame, but he has the potential to become an amazing companion.
Looking for the right person or family with older children and patience.
Each day he seems more and more comfortable with the presence of hands.
We have discovered that some of his favorite snacks are Cashews, Apples, Grape Nuts, and Birdy Bistro.
Jett enjoys taking daily baths in his water bowl, as staying handsome and bright is one of his top priorities! ;)
Jett is not a very vocal Conure, but I'm sure in time that will change, as he is still very young and learning every day.
Right now, he has two cockatiels keeping him company and he will sometimes screech to shut them up.
It's quite funny! Otherwise, he is very quiet and mainly keeps to himself playing with and shredding his toys.
He is interested in other birds and seems very intrigued...especially by the Cockatoo in his foster home.
Jett loves to snuggle up under his rope toy before bedtime and will sometimes allow scratches on his head while doing this,
which is why we feel in time he will learn to trust more and more.
We have only had Jett for a little over a week, so we are still getting to know him,
but from what we can tell, he will be a wonderful lifetime companion.
We will keep the updates coming.
Jett is being fostered in Hillsborough, NJ.
You must be within driving distance to make the required visits and to adopt.
We do not ship our birds.
