Cockatiel : : Male : : Adult
Hatch Date: August 24, 2012 Pepe is a beautiful gray and white male cockatiel. Although Pepe has had the same owner since shortly after he was hatched, he is now in need of a new forever home. Pepe was once hand trained, but now he has barely left his cage--with an exception of a recent vet visit--in years. He is still very social. Pepe enjoys perching in the corner of his cage and watching the household activity. If I walk away, he whistles for me to return. He does act scared when I open the cage, but he can be coaxed to take popcorn out of my hand. When the dogs are barking in the living room, he is noticeably frightened, but I think he is starting to get used to them. I wouldn’t recommend Pepe for a household with small children that could unknowingly put their fingers between the bars. Although he has not bitten me as of yet, he does threaten it if my fingers get to close. He is a fun little guy to talk to. He will interact with you through the bars of his cage, even though he is not able to be handled right now. If you are intereted in adoption, please fill our adoption application out at ftlob.rescuegroups.org Location: Howell NJ Pepe's companion, Leta (adopted) can also be seen on our website.
