Hatch Date: July 7, 2001
Casper is funny and an absolute love. Once she gets to know you, can’t get enough head scratches, neck rubs and cuddles. Casper craves attention and will return all the love and companionship you can imagine.
Casper has a few clear words and sounds, but has mastered “Hello”; since being here had learned to meow like the cat.
Casper does not seem to have a male/females preference. Her prior owner was male and her foster home is female.
Casper tolerates the dog and cat in her foster home, but will try to nip them if they get too close. She does seem comfortable in the presence of new people and dogs and takes the opportunity to show off her new words and sounds as well as her normal repertoire.
Casper has been seen by the vet and disease tested; she is healthy! Casper was DNA tested a female.
We are currently working on transitioning Casper to a healthy diet of pellets and fresh veggies/fruits. Although slow-going, we have been making some progress. She seems more apt to try new foods when handed to her, as opposed to putting them in her treat bowl. Her favorite day is definitely grocery day. As I prep my fresh foods and she sees something she wants, she says, “hello!”

Casper is a female Bare-Eyed Cockatoo. She is looking for her forever home through no fault of hers. Her prior owner fell on very hard times and loved Casper enough to surrender her to us to provide a home that can provide the care this sweet girl deserves.
