Hatch date approximately 1995.

Mickey is a Mitred Conure and is believed to be male. He is a healthy and active bird who likes to climb around the outside of his cage. He likes to be scratched on his neck by people he trusts. He is hand tame.

Unfortunately Mickey's current owner is ill and is unable to care for him long term or give him much attention now. Mickey craves companionship and would do well in a home with other small birds as flock mates or a family that has a lot of time to interact with him outside of his cage. 

Mickey is a clean bird - periodically yelling "get a bath" or "gonna get bath". He loves to bathe in his water bowl and does so every few days. 

Mickey has been seen by an avian veterinarian annually and is on a diet of Harrisons pellets and healthy table food. He likes Nutriberry conure treats and tiny bits of ground beef, chicken, and steak. He loves banana, baby carrots, green grapes and most fruits. 

Mickey is used to a quiet household. He currently lives with dogs, but it is unknown how he would do with children. He has a fairly large vocabulary and says "I'm a good boy", "We Wah (what he called his mom)", "Go to work? Come back?" - to which you reply I come back, "That's good", "Want a cookie" and a few other phrases. 

Mickey is in our Help With Rehoming program, he will require at least 3 visits and he will not be shipped.
