He is a spirited little guy with loads of personality. He will step up on a finger eagerly, but will need some work to learn his boundaries. Luckily, he seems super smart. With some training, he will be the best, most loyal little friend. He is the best escape artist his foster mom ever met!!

 

He has been around other birds, including large birds at his foster home and has no fear - at all - which can be dangerous for him! He seems to enjoy the company of other small birds, returning affection. However, foster mom thinks he will do best as an only bird, Or as a companion for another very small bird. 

 

He will eat nutriberries and Harrisons birdie bread and we are working on converting him to a full pellet diet.. Robin will usually eat some Harrisons pellets. We can't get him to eat fruit or vegetables AT ALL. That is going to take patience and perseverance. His favorite treat is millet, hands down

 

He likes destructive toys, particularly those that have cardboard as a part to shred. He loves those popped corn on the corn cob treats, and will happily destroy the whole thing. 

 

Robin is being fostered in Philadelphia, PA and will only be adopted to a forever home within easy driving distance to his foster home. For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Philadelphia area instead of a central location. We do not ship our birds. Due to our adoptable birds being fostered in private homes we only allow approved adoption applicants to make visits.
