Harley is a gem of a conure!

Harley is a 9yo female Peach Fronted Conure who is sweet as sweet can be! Once she is on top of her cage she will step up for you and hang out on your shoulder for as long as you will let her. She does allow head scratches on her own terms. Harley is generally quiet for a conure but she can get loud when she wants attention. Harley will need routine beak and nail trims.

Harley had been around kids for the last five years however prefers to be around adults. She is currently in foster with dogs and cats; at first she was startled but is adjusting to watching them move around the house. She previously shared a family with another conure and enjoyed chatting back and forth however they were kept in separate rooms. 

Harley loves dancing, being whispered to and helping you wash dishes. She loves the sound of running water and will stay in the shower with you all day if you let her. Harley loves wooden block toys that she can shred and making noises with bells.

Harley is currently on a mostly nut and seed diet and very stubborn to try new things. Her foster mom has been making her special birdie bread with hidden crushed up pellets and dried veggies and she enjoys it very much. She gently takes food from your hand if offered that way. She is open to trying fruits and vegetables as long as you hand them to her. Her favorite fruit is apples!

Harley will require at least two visits prior to adoption and prefers to be adopted to a forever home with older children, if any.

Harley is currently being fostered in Bloomfield, NJ and will only be adopted to a forever home within driving distance. For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Philadephia, we have no central location. As our birds are living in volunteer foster homes only approved applicants are allowed to make visits.
