Elsa is as her namesake, a spunky little princess. Her colors also match her name perfectly, but it is her personality that dubbed her so.

Elsa loves to “fight” with a set of plastic keys, with a bell, and even will go a round or two “boxing” with your fingers - chirping happily the whole time. She was found outside, and it seems she was clearly able of holding her own in nature.

That being said, she isn’t really aggressive (unless you put a mirror in her cage - Do Not do this) and only “attacks” playfully. If she’s not in the mood to play she will give you a pretty distinctive “leave me alone” trill. But otherwise she likes to punch above her weight class.

Little Elsa is happy to stay in her cage all day if you let her, even with the door wide open, but if you coax her out by offering your hand into her cage she will hop on and come out for a ride. She is more than happy to perch on a hand, shoulder, and more than often land your head. She will also creep on you as you work or watch something on a laptop perching on top of the laptop screen or your shoulder - and Sometimes she’ll take a little stroll across your keyboard, but she isn’t destructive with keys , she will just walk. She will fly around once she’s comfortable with the space and land on all sorts of things.

In the morning around 9ish she will loudly chirp for some attention if you haven’t said hi to her by then, a little poke and she is content and calm again. She also will quietly chirp along when there is a lot of conversation/music/TV/general noise going - contributing softly into the conversation (Almost whispering her thoughts).

She is a fiercely funny little bird, with a lot of joy to bring any house, and her little punk rock princess personality is an immense joy.

Elsa has been disease tested and will be adopted with her cage, toys and food to get her forever family started.

Elsa is being fostered in Lake Hiawatha, NJ and will only be adopted to a family within driving distance to her foster home. For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern Pennsylvania, we have no central location. As our adoptable birds are being fostered in volunteer homes we only allow approved applicants to make visits.
