Spanky is a 12 yo male Sunday Conure, a hybrid of a Sun Conure
and Jenday Conure.

Spunky little guy, tons of energy , and extremely vocal .
Not clear what he has to say, but he has plenty to say !

Hand tame, steps up easily, loves to run right up to your shoulder.
Doesn't like you messing with things on his cage,
and will nip at you if you are working around him ;)
When out of the cage , no aggression at all towards anyone,
male or female.

We were told he does not like plastic bags, so we are keeping them away from him. Not sure if the noise of them bother him . 

Great eater!! Only fresh food and pellets , NO SEEDS.

We were told that he has an on going issue with his lower beak over growing, and has had to go to the vet to have it groomed on occasion , but it looks good now .
He may have an ongoing issue that will need to be tended to in the future. 

Not a good bird for an Apparment , Condo or Town house , he can get very loud at times. 

He has full flight , and knows how to use it . 
Might do best in a home with no other birds. 

Spanky is being fostered in Leonardo, NJ and will only be adopted to a forever home within driving distance, we do not ship our birds. For the Love of Birds is a group of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA - we do not have a central location. As Spanky is living in a volunteer's home, we only allow approved applicants to make visits.
