Sinbad is a 17 year old female Africa Grey Congo .

She has been , and still is a regular egg layer .

This is not a Only Spring time thing, this is going on through out the year off and on .
She tends to pluck her chest feathers when going through the egg laying cycle.

 

She prefers to be handled by males, and gets hormonal around females.

Has NO interest in children.

Not looking to make friends with other birds.

 

She will have to go to a home that is experienced with hormonal

behavior , and educated in how to deal with a bird that is a 

regular egg layer. 

 

We are considering her a Special Needs bird becuase of the egg laying and 
the plucking that goes along with it. 

 

She is hand tame , but will also nip (hard) when she is not 

willing to do what you want her to .

 

Fresh food , is a must for this lady , as she has been on 

a great fresh diet her entire life. 

 

She does NOT eat seeds . 

Pellets , nuts, and fresh only .

 

Very interested in chewing on wood, so needs to be supervised 

when she is out of her cage. 

 

Not a huge vocabulary , but does say somethings, and very good 

at imitating noises, and whistles. 

Fire alarm is a fav ;) 

 

Sinbad is located in Leonardo NJ ,and will only be adopted to a forever home within driving distance, we do not ship our birds.
For the Love of Birds is a group of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA - we do not have a central location.
As Sinbad is living in a volunteer's home, we only allow approved applicants to make visits.
